Abstract:
A drive control method for a negative pressure pump provided with an electromagnetic clutch and driven to generate negative pressure by motive power transmitted from an engine when connected to the electromagnetic clutch, the electromagnetic clutch being disengaged and the negative pressure pump going into a non-driven state at least during cranking when the engine is started up while at least one of the following temperatures is equal to or less than a pre-set threshold temperature: the outside air temperature, the temperature of engine-cooling water, and the temperature of engine oil.
