Abstract:

In the present invention, a reliable and sufficient air breather function, including when working on slanted ground, is obtained while being compact in the height direction and the diametral direction. The present invention is equipped with a dry brake (16) that is provided between a motor (1) and a reduction gear (2) and that has: a brake mechanism for braking a motor shaft (5); and a brake housing (17) that encloses a brake chamber (18) that houses the brake mechanism. The brake housing (17) has a partition wall (22) that partitions a reduction gear chamber (12) and the brake chamber (18) in the state of being penetrated by the motor shaft (5). The partition wall (22) is provided with: a shaft sealing mechanism (23) that limits the flow of a lubricating oil (O) between the partition wall (22) and the motor shaft (5); and an air passage (25) that permits the exit/entry of air between the reduction gear chamber (12) and the brake chamber (18) while limiting the inflow of the lubricating oil (O) from the reduction gear chamber (12) to the brake chamber (18). In the brake (16), an air breather is formed for opening the inside of the brake chamber (18) to the atmosphere.
