Abstract:
This drive device (20) drives a first switching element (11). The drive device (20) comprises a protection switch (40). The protection switch (40) is provided between a first terminal and a third terminal of the first switching element (11), the protection switch (40) being turned OFF when the voltage of the third terminal is equal to or greater than a second threshold value, and being turned ON when the voltage of the third terminal is less than the second threshold value. When the protection switch (40) is in an ON state, the potential difference between the first terminal and the third terminal is less than a first threshold value.
