Abstract:
A drive transmission device where occurrence of impact noise at a connection section of the device is suppressed. The drive transmission device has a drive gear (71) rotated by power from a drive motor (70); a driven gear (72) rotated via the drive gear (71); a jaw clutch for transmitting the power of the drive motor (70) to the driven gear (72) from the drive gear (71), the jaw clutch having a drive side ratchet (71a) and a driven side ratchet (72a) that is movable in the axial direction of the clutch and mating with the drive side ratchet (71a); and a compression spring (76) for urging the driven side ratchet (72a) toward the drive side ratchet (71a). When the driven side ratchet (72a) is at a position (second position) at which the tips of the driven side ratchet (72a) teeth are at the same position as the tips of the drive side ratchet (71a) teeth relative to the axial direction of the clutch, urging force of the compression spring (76) acts on the driven side ratchet (72a), and when the driven side ratchet (72a) is at a position (first position) at which the driven side ratchet (72a) totally engages with the drive side ratchet (71a) in the axial direction of the clutch, the urging force of the compression spring (76) does not act on the driven side ratchet (72a).
