Abstract:
A driver-monitoring system performs communication between a mobile terminal (1) provided with a display screen (11a) and a camera (5) arranged to be able to photograph the side facing the display screen (11a), and a vehicle control device (3) for controlling a host vehicle, and monitors the driver of the host vehicle. Based on the images captured by the camera (5), the driver-monitoring system determines whether the driver of the host vehicle is viewing the display screen (11a) of the mobile terminal (1) while the host vehicle is moving. When determined that the driver is viewing the display screen (11a) of the mobile terminal (1), a warning is issued.
