Abstract:
Provided are: a driving assistance device that carries out suitable driving assistance for preventing a burden on an occupant of a vehicle when there is an obstacle in a scheduled travel path of the vehicle which is a factor that interferes with the travelling of the vehicle; and a computer program. Specifically, in the present invention, when there is an obstacle in a scheduled travel path of a vehicle which is a factor that interferes with the travelling of the vehicle, costs that indicate the loads on an occupant with respect to a plurality of avoidance operation candidates for avoiding the obstacle are calculated, the calculated costs are compared, an avoidance operation recommended for avoiding the obstacle is selected from the plurality of avoidance operation candidates, a travelling track on which the vehicle is recommended to travel is generated according to the selected avoidance operation, and driving assistance for the vehicle is performed on the basis of the generated travelling track.
