Abstract:
In this driving assistance device, an image output unit outputs, to a display unit, an image including a host vehicle object indicating the host vehicle, and another vehicle object indicating another vehicle. An operation signal input unit receives a user operation which changes the distance between the host vehicle object and the other vehicle object in the image displayed on the display unit. In cases when the distance between the host vehicle object and the other vehicle object is equal to or less than a prescribed distance, a command output unit outputs, to an automatic driving control unit for controlling automatic driving, a command instructing that one vehicle travel so as to follow the other vehicle.
