Abstract:
A driving assistance device is provided with a mode switching determination unit (4) for switching a vehicle driving mode on the basis of vehicle state information, vehicle occupant state information, and vehicle vicinity state information and a driving assistance control unit (7) that outputs information requesting that a device outside of the vehicle assist with the travel of the vehicle if the mode that the mode switching determination unit (4) has switched to is an automatic-driving-ending preparation mode for preparing for transitioning from an automatic driving mode in which the vehicle travels without occupant driving operation to a manual driving mode in which the vehicle travels according to occupant driving operation and the mode switching determination unit has determined from the vehicle occupant state information that the occupant cannot drive.
