Abstract:
Provided is a driving assistance device which can perform deceleration control appropriately in a moving vehicle having a variable wheelbase length.  The driving assistance device (1) comprises a wheelbase length detection sensor (11) for detecting the wheelbase length of a moving vehicle (X) having a variable wheelbase length, a laser radar (10) for detecting an obstacle in front of the moving vehicle (X), and an ECU (15).  When an obstacle is detected by means of the laser radar (10), the driving assistance device (1) performs deceleration control on the moving vehicle (X) depending on the wheelbase length detected by the wheelbase length detection sensor (11).  Consequently, the behavior of the moving vehicle (X) can be prevented from being disturbed by a wheelbase length when deceleration control is performed.
