Abstract:
The present invention provides a driving assistance system comprising: a driving assistance device which is installed onboard a subject vehicle and which regulates driving operations by a driver who drives the subject vehicle; and an external storage device which is provided separately from the driving assistance device and which stores driving characteristics from when the driver drove a certain vehicle different from the subject vehicle, wherein the driving assistance device acquires the driving characteristics stored in the external storage device and regulates driving operations by the driver on the basis of the acquired driving characteristics, vehicle characteristics indicating characteristics of the subject vehicle, and road characteristics indicating characteristics of the road on which the subject vehicle travels.
