Abstract:
Provided is a driving device for in-wheel motor vehicles, which can be reduced in size, weight and cost required for the manufacture thereof. The driving device for in-wheel motor vehicles comprises: multiple in-wheel motor sections (3A-3D) which are arranged on at least two of multiple driving wheels (2A-2D); and multiple motor driving devices (4A-4D) which respectively control the in-wheel motor sections (3A-3D). Each of the motor driving devices (4A-4D) comprises a smoothing circuit, a control unit, an inverter unit, and a cooler for cooling the inverter unit. The multiple motor driving devices (4A-4D) are brought together in one place and are housed in the same case (7).
