Abstract:
A driving method and a driver device for a liquid crystal display. The driving method comprises: receiving an image to be displayed (S901); performing a block detection on image pixels in the image to be displayed to determine the sizes of color blocks at where the image pixels are located (S902); configuring block weights for the image pixels on the basis of the sizes of the color blocks (S903); compensating, on the basis of the block weights, for a color shift of the image to be displayed (S904); and driving a liquid crystal panel to display the image to be displayed having the color shift compensated (S905). By such means, color shifts at wide viewing angles are reduced, thus increasing display effects at wide viewing angles.
