Abstract:
A driving support method comprises: detecting a first boundary point group including boundary points that form a traffic lane line by a sensor mounted on a vehicle (S1); and converting the coordinate system of the first boundary point group to the same coordinate system as the coordinate system of map data and performing matching between a first point group consisting of boundary points not proximate to each other of either the first boundary point group or a second boundary point group including boundary points that form the traffic lane line on the map data and the other point group of either the first boundary point group or the second boundary point group (S2 – S5, S7).
