Abstract:
A gate driving circuit of a voltage-driven semiconductor according to the related art comprises an optimal gate resistor adjusted according to an input capacitance of a gate terminal of the voltage-driven semiconductor. However, since the input capacitance of the gate terminal varies depending on the product type, there is a problem in that a substrate on which the gate driving circuit of the voltage-driven semiconductor is mounted needs to be prepared for each voltage-driven semiconductor. When a voltage is applied to a gate terminal of the voltage-driven semiconductor, the voltage rise time of the voltage of the gate terminal changes in proportion to the capacitance of the gate terminal. In a method of estimating the capacitance of the gate terminal on the basis of a difference in the voltage rise time, a counting circuit using a pulse having a constant cycle is used. The total number of pulse counts is measured from a time when the voltage is applied to the gate terminal to a time when the voltage reaches a threshold voltage or higher. Thereafter, a gate current of the gate driving circuit is adjusted using a gate resistance adjustment voltage that is proportional to the total number of pulse counts.
