Abstract:

The present invention provides a drug inspection device and drug inspection method that are able to achieve efficient inspecting while suppressing mis-determinations in the inspection of a drug. The drug inspection device (10) inspects a drug that is packaged in a packet and is prepared on the basis of prescription information. A drug database (15) contains drug images for drugs that can be prepared. A comparison subject selection means (16) acquires from the drug database (15) drug images for the drug prepared in accordance with the prescription and drugs similar thereto. A drug determination means (13) compares a captured image of the prepared drug to the drug images acquired from the drug database (15), and determines the drug present in the captured image as well as the number of pieces thereof. On the basis of the prescription information, an inspection result determination means (17) determines whether or not the prepared drug and the number of pieces thereof match the prescription information.
