Abstract:

A drum washing machine. The drum washing machine comprises: an outer tank (20), disposed in a housing (10); a drum (22), disposed in the outer tank (20) in a freely-rotating manner; a driving unit (30), comprising a driving motor (100) and a planetary gear mechanism (400), wherein the planetary gear mechanism (400) uses a gear to reduce the rotation speed of the driving motor (100) and transmits the rotation to the drum (22); a motor driving portion (705), providing a driving current to the driving motor (100); and a control portion (701), controlling the motor driving portion (705). When the control portion (701) stops rotation of the drum (22) of which the speed is reduced by the planetary gear mechanism (400), the control portion (701) controls the motor driving portion (705) so that the driving current provided to the driving motor (100) slowly becomes small. Because the drum washing machine uses a structure in which a speed reduction mechanism using a gear reduces the rotation speed of the driving motor (100) and transmits the rotation to the drum (22), abnormal sound from the speed reduction mechanism when rotation of the drum (22) is stopped is reduced.
