Abstract:
The present invention relates to an apparatus and method for manufacturing dry ice nuggets from liquefied carbon dioxide, and dry ice nuggets manufactured using the method, in which liquefied carbon dioxide is injected into a cylinder having a predetermined inner space formed therein, the liquefied carbon dioxide is solidified in the inner space and is accumulated at the bottom of the cylinder, a piston located at the top of the cylinder descends to pressurize the predetermined inner space, and the liquefied carbon dioxide in the solidified state pressurized by the piston is compression-molded.
