Abstract:
A dry powder inhalation device and a method for operating the dry powder inhalation device. The dry powder inhalation device (1) comprises: a body (2) having an accommodating cavity (201), a first opening (202a), and a second opening (202b), the first opening (202a) and the second opening (202b) being communicated with the accommodating cavity (201); a mouthpiece (3), connected to the body (2), and communicated with the accommodating cavity (201) by means of the second opening (202b); a screen (4) provided in the second opening (202b); a capsule compartment (5), pivotally mounted in the accommodating cavity (201) and provided with a capsule accommodating recess (501), wherein the capsule compartment (5) can rotate relative to the body (2) to a first position at which the capsule accommodating recess (501) is exposed to the first opening (202a), and a second position at which the capsule accommodating recess (501) is opposite to the screen (4); and a capsule breaking mechanism (6) configured to break the capsule shell of a capsule (100) in the capsule accommodating recess (501) under external force.
