Abstract:
A dry run protection method for an electric water pump, comprising: first setting, for a short-term peak of a current value, a filtering range for filtering, wherein the short-term peak is not used as a determination basis. When an electric water pump identifies dry running for a first time, the method is executed to perform a plurality of confirmation processes, such as deceleration, acceleration, re-detection, on the electric water pump to finally determine whether the electric water pump is running dry due to lack of water. The method avoids misjudgment, thus protecting an electric water pump.
