Abstract:
This drum-type dryer is provided with: a housing; a microwave emitting unit which is provided rotatably inside the housing, and which emits microwaves toward an object being dried, inside a drum that accommodates the object being dried; and a shielding unit for suppressing leakage of microwaves from the housing to the outside. The shielding unit is configured to include, at least, a first choke portion (25) for suppressing leakage of microwaves from a gap between a rotating body (3d), which is a portion of the drum, and a fixed portion (26a), which is a portion of the housing. The first choke portion (25), in which the rotating body (3d) is sandwiched by the fixed portion (26a), includes a first choke groove (40) and a second choke groove (41) provided respectively in a first gap (38) and a second gap (39) formed by the rotating body (3d) and the fixed portion (26a).
