The present invention relates to a drying apparatus for manufacturing an electrode and a method for manufacturing an electrode using same. The drying apparatus for manufacturing an electrode comprises a floating unit which enables a transfer unit for transferring a dried electrode substrate, to transfer the electrode substrate floated using air, and which at the same time is capable of cooling a coated portion that is coated with electrode slurry, along with an non-coated portion that is not coated with the electrode slurry, thereby improving a thermal expansion deviation of the electrode substrate, and thus, preventing creases and/or folding issues induced in the non-coated portion of the electrode substrate. In addition, due to a replaceable air-floating plate with discharge holes formed according to the specifications of an electrode to be manufactured, the floating unit provides the advantage of excellent process performance.
