Abstract:
A drying device (120) comprises a transport unit (40) that can be raised and lowered and transports a sheet onto which ink has been discharged along a transport path (34), a drying unit (50) that is opposite the transport path (34), can be raised and lowered, and dries the ink using heat, a raising/lowering mechanism (60) that can open the transport path (34) by lowering a lower unit that is the lower of the transport unit (40) and the drying unit (50) and raising an upper unit that is the upper of the units using the gravity that acts on the lower unit, and a restriction mechanism (70) that restricts the lowering of the lower unit.
