Abstract:
A dual action logo hardware stamping machine (100) on leather substrate and a method of fixation of logo hardware on the leather substrate is provided. The dual action logo stamping machine (100) includes a hydro-pneumatic press cylinder (1), a C-shaped carriage frame (2), an adjustment stud (3), a work table (6), and a die set installed in the C-shaped carriage frame (2) to fix the logo letter on the leather substrate using the hydro-pneumatic press cylinder (1). The die set includes a movable die (4) and a fixed die (5). The movable die (4) is attached to one end of the hydro-pneumatic press cylinder (1) extending outward towards the fixed die (5) and the fixed die (5) is attached to the work table (6) of the dual action logo stamping machine (100).

Claims:
WE CLAIM:

1. A dual action logo stamping machine (100) for stamping a logo on a leather substrate, the dual action logo stamping machine (100) comprising: a hydro-pneumatic press cylinder (1); a C- shaped carriage frame (2); an adjustment stud (3); a work table (6); a die set installed in the C-shaped carriage frame (2) to fix the logo letter on the leather substrate using the hydro -pneumatic press cylinder (1), wherein the die set includes a movable die (4) and a fixed die (5), characterized in that, the movable die (4) is attached to one end of the hydro pneumatic press cylinder (1) extending outward towards the fixed die (5) and the fixed die (5) is attached to the work table (6) of the dual action logo stamping machine (100);

2. The dual action logo stamping machine (100) as claimed in claim 1, wherein the fixed die (5) includes a logo letter insertion portion, and the movable die (4) includes a flat base.

3. The dual action logo stamping machine (100) as claimed in claim 1, wherein the hydro pneumatic press cylinder (1) comprising solenoid coils (7).

4. The dual action logo stamping machine (100) as claimed in claim 3, wherein the solenoid coils (7) include a hydraulic solenoid coil and a pneumatic solenoid coil.

5. The dual action logo stamping machine (100) as claimed in claim 1, wherein the adjustment stud (3) adjusts the pressure applied to the movable die (4) to fix the logo letter on the leather substrate.

6. The dual action logo stamping machine (100) as claimed in claim 1, wherein the logo letter is stamped and punched on the leather substrate by a single stroke of the hydro-pneumatic press cylinder (1).

7. The dual action logo stamping machine (100) as claimed in claim 1, wherein the C- shaped carriage frame (2) withstand the weight and pressure from the hydro-pneumatic press cylinder (1).

8. The dual action logo stamping machine (100) as claimed in claim 1, further comprising: a timer and relay (8) to control the operation of the dual action logo stamping machine

(100); a pushbutton switch (9) to start the operation of the dual action logo stamping machine (100); a selector switch (14) to perform manual operation of the hydro -pneumatic press cylinder

(i); a emergency stop pushbutton switch (10) to stop the operation of the dual action logo stamping machine (100) in case of any safety precaution; and an indication lamp (11) to indicate ON/OFF state of the dual action logo stamping machine

(100).

Description:
DUAL ACTING LOGO HARDWARE FIXING MACHINE FOR LEATHER

SUBSTRATES AND METHOD THEREOF

FIELD OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to a logo embossing machine. More particularly, the present invention relates to a dual action logo hardware stamping machine on leather substrate and a method of fixation of logo hardware on the leather substrate. Advantageously, the present invention effectively reduces the cycle time and power consumed by the dual action logo hardware stamping machine.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

The branding marks like logo and symbols are stamped on a leather product which represents manufactures value. The leather products include bags, shoes, wallet, purse and leather fancy items. To stamp the logo and symbols, the leather must be cut for the required size and then positioned over the die for pressing operation.

Fixing logo hardware on the leather substrate was done by mechanical or manual press. Later, it is developed with two most consecutive systems. They are hydraulic system and pneumatic system. They are controlled by the electro-mechanical coil, to operate it.

Currently, Pneumatic press with panel lasering is used to fix the logo on the leather substrate. The process involves flashing the panel, pre-drilling holes on the leather component using laser machine, insertion of letters and punching by the pneumatic press. As a result, it takes more time and keen watch in insertion of logo. It takes 193 seconds to perform the above-mentioned process for a single cycle. The wrong placement of panel leads to rejection and production imbalance.

CN 106935133A discuss about an ornament secured to a leather face of a leather product, wherein the ornament includes a frame with a protruding edge from a top face thereof along an outer perimeter thereof and a metal sticker with a predetermined shape to be attached to the frame, the protruding edge allowing an easy attachment of the metal sticker to the frame and preventing the attached metal sticker from a damage and/or detachment due to an external force.

Accordingly, there exists a need for a simple and efficient logo hardware pressing machine to stamp the logo hardware on the leather substrate with reduced cycle time. OBJECTS OF THE INVENTION

It is the primary object of the present invention to provide a machine for stamping a logo hardware on a leather substrate.

It is another object of the present invention to provide a dual action logo hardware stamping machine uses a precisely manufactured die set to fix the logo hardware on the leather substrate in few seconds.

It is another object of the present invention the dual action logo hardware stamping machine is the combination of hydraulic and pneumatic system.

It is another object of the present invention the dual action logo hardware stamping machine is the form of hydro-pneumatic press cylinder. It is a combination of both oil and compressed air.

It is another object of the present invention the dual action logo hardware stamping machine during operation uses both oil and compressed air to provide maximum hydraulic pressure as an output with a minimum pressure as an input.

It is another object of the present invention the dual action logo hardware stamping machine includes a timer, a solenoid coils and a die setup.

It is another object of the present invention the die set installed in the C-shaped carriage. The C- shaped carriage bears the weight and pressure from the hydro-pneumatic press cylinder.

It is another object of the present invention the die set includes a fixed die and a movable die.

It is another object of the present invention the timer and relay controls the operation of the hydro pneumatic press cylinder with press time and delay time, the solenoid coils are used to start or stop the operation of the hydro-pneumatic press cylinder.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

One or more of the problems of the conventional prior arts may be overcome by various embodiments of the present invention. It is primary aspect of the present invention to provide a dual action logo stamping machine (100) for stamping a logo on a leather substrate, the dual action logo stamping machine (100) comprising a hydro-pneumatic press cylinder (1), the hydro-pneumatic cylinder (1) is attached to a C-shaped carriage frame (2), an adjustment stud (3), a work table (6), a die set installed in the C-shaped carriage frame (2) to fix the logo letter on the leather substrate using the hydro -pneumatic press cylinder (1).

It is another aspect of the present invention, wherein the die set includes a movable die (4) and a fixed die (5).

It is another aspect of the present invention, wherein the movable die (4) is attached to one end of the hydro-pneumatic press cylinder (1) extending outward towards the fixed die and the fixed die (5) is attached to the work table (6) of the dual action logo stamping machine (100).

It is another aspect of the present invention, wherein the fixed die (5) includes a logo letter insertion portion, and the movable die (4) includes a flat base.

It is another aspect of the present invention, wherein the hydro-pneumatic press cylinder (1) comprising two solenoid coils (7). The solenoid coils (7) are hydraulic solenoid coil and a pneumatic solenoid coil.

It is another aspect of the present invention, wherein the adjustment stud (3) adjusts the pressure applied to the movable die (4) to fix the logo letter on the leather substrate.

It is another aspect of the present invention, wherein the logo letter is stamped and punched on the leather substrate by a single stroke of the hydro -pneumatic press cylinder (1).

It is another aspect of the present invention, wherein the C- shaped carriage withstand the weight and pressure from the hydro-pneumatic press cylinder (1).

It is another aspect of the present invention, wherein a timer and relay (8) controls the operation of the dual action logo stamping machine (100) and a pushbutton switch (9) to start the operation of the dual action logo stamping machine (100). It is another aspect of the present invention, wherein a selector switch (14) is used to enable/disable the manual operation of the hydro -pneumatic press cylinder (1) and

It is another aspect of the present invention, wherein an emergency stop pushbutton switch (10) is used to stop the operation of the dual action logo stamping machine (100) in case of any safety precaution and an indication lamp (11) to indicate ON/OFF state of the dual action logo stamping machine (100).

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

It is to be understood that the present disclosure is not limited in its application to the details of construction and the arrangement of components set forth in the following description or illustrated in the drawings. This particular form is only an exemplary embodiment and is not intended to be taken restrictively to imply any limitation on the scope of the present invention. The present disclosure is capable of other embodiments and of being practiced or of being carried out in various ways. Also, it is to be understood that the phraseology and terminology used herein is for the purpose of description and should not be regarded as limiting. The present invention relates to a logo embossing machine. More particularly, the present invention relates to a dual action logo hardware stamping machine on leather substrate and a method of fixation of logo hardware on the leather substrate. Advantageously, the present invention effectively reduces the cycle time and power consumed by the dual action logo hardware stamping machine.

The novelty of the invention is to develop a dual action logo hardware stamping machine and a precisely machined die set to fix the logo hardware on a leather substrate using a hydro-pneumatic press cylinder.

Fig. 1 illustrates an exploded view of a dual action logo stamping machine (100), in accordance with an embodiment of the present invention. A hydro-pneumatic press cylinder (1) is a press machine, handling both oil and air in its program and gives more magnificent outlet of hydraulic pressure with lower-level inlet of pneumatic pressure. In another word, a system utilizing both oil and air in its work and gives maximum hydraulic pressure at the output with a minimum pressure at the input.

In an embodiment, the dual action logo stamping machine (100) uses hydro-pneumatic press cylinder (1) (also known as actuator) with timer and relay (8) control electric system, the hydro pneumatic press cylinder (1) is attached to a C-shaped carriage frame (2), an adjustment stud (3), a work table (6), and a die set installed in the C-shaped carriage frame (2) to fix the logo letter on the leather substrate using the hydro-pneumatic press cylinder (1).

In an embodiment, the die set includes a movable die (4) and a fixed die (5). The movable die (4) is attached to one end of the hydro -pneumatic press cylinder (1) extending outward towards the fixed die (5) and the fixed die (5) is attached to the work table (6) of the dual action logo stamping machine (100). The fixed die (5) includes a logo letter insertion portion, and the movable die (4) includes a flat base. The 3D view of C-shaped carriage frame (2) of the dual action logo stamping machine (100) as shown in Fig. 2.

In an embodiment, the hydro-pneumatic press cylinder (1) setup is maintained and installed in the C- shaped carriage. The C-shaped carriage frame (2) bears the weight and pressure from the hydro pneumatic press cylinder (1). Metal used for the C-shaped carriage frame (2) is analyzed, studied with analyzing tool and structured accordingly. The wall thickness of each pillar is 12mm and it is bonded with other pillar without crack or tolerance in it. In an embodiment, the die set (also known as work piece palette) installed in the C-shaped carriage frame (2). Two numbers of die present along with it, one is fixed die (5) and another one is movable die (4). The movable die (4) present at the one end of hydro -pneumatic press cylinder (1), whereas the fixed die (5) is in the top of the work table (6). The logo is inserted in the fixed die (5) piece, so that we can have clear view for verification. The movable die (4) is a flat base press with an additional gap to insert washer into it.

In an embodiment, the hydro-pneumatic press cylinder (1) includes two solenoid coils (7). The solenoid coils (7) are hydraulic solenoid coil and a pneumatic solenoid coil. The solenoid coils (7) are used to start or stop the operation of the hydro -pneumatic press cylinder (1). Both the solenoid coils (7) are connected to the timer and relay (8). The timer and relay (8) acts as a controller for both the solenoid coils (7) and two pushbutton switch (9) given in parallel connection in order to the safety of an operator. The electrical connection of the dual action logo hardware stamping machine (100) as shown in Fig. 4.

The hydraulic solenoid coil and pneumatic solenoid coil is for the action of hydro-pneumatic press cylinder (1). The solenoid coils (7) are spring operated, single acting, they do not require any additional inputs to get back to its home position.

In an embodiment, the adjustment stud (3) adjusts the pressure applied to the movable die (4) to fix the logo letter on the leather substrate. The logo letter is stamped and punched on the leather substrate by a single stroke of the hydro -pneumatic press cylinder (1). The dual action logo stamping machine (100) uses IT hydro-pneumatic press cylinder (1) with bore diameter of 80mm. Table 1 describes the parts of the dual action logo stamping machine (100).

In an embodiment, the dual action logo stamping machine (100) includes a timer and relay (8) to control the operation of the dual action logo stamping machine (100), two pushbutton switch (9) to start the operation of the dual action logo stamping machine (100), a selector switch (14) to perform manual operation of the hydro -pneumatic press cylinder (1), an emergency stop pushbutton switch (10) to stop the operation of the dual action logo stamping machine (100) in case of any safety precaution, and an indication lamp (11) to indicate ON/OFF state of the dual action logo stamping machine (100).

A supply voltage of 220V/230V is given as input to the dual action logo stamping machine (100). The selector switch (14) used here is to cut the main supply to the timer and the indication lamp (11) to indicate ON/OFF state of the dual action logo stamping machine (100). The two pushbutton switch (9) with NO elements used for safety purpose of the operator. So, that the operator should operate the dual action logo stamping machine (100) with both hands to start the process. In an embodiment, the logo letters are inserted one by one into the fixed die (5) and check for the position of the logo letters as per the SOP (standard operating procedure). After insertion of logo letters into the fixed die (5), the leather substrate is placed over the fixed die (5) in an exact position. By pressing the start pushbutton switch (9) of the dual action logo stamping machine (100), the solenoid coils (7) enable the hydro-pneumatic press cylinder (1). The pneumatic press is applied for 3.3 seconds, and the hydraulic press is applied for 5 seconds. The solenoid coils (7) act in forward direction and as per the timer and relay (8) control, and there may be delay while returning to home position. Washers are inserted over the logo between the die set. After insertion of washer over the logo the start pushbutton switch (9) of the dual action logo stamping machine (100) is pressed. The hydro- pneumatic press cylinder (1) starts to press the die as per the standards time as mentioned above.

Fig. 5 represent operational flow chart of the dual action logo stamping machine (100) for stamping logo hardware on the leather substrate, in accordance with an embodiment of the present invention. The steps include:

At step (501), logo letters are inserted one by one into the fixed die (5) after insertion of logo letters check for the positioning as per the SOP (standard operating procedure). At step (502), place the leather substrate over the fixed die (5) in an exact position.

At step (503), press the start pushbutton switch (9) of the dual action logo stamping machine (100), the solenoid coils (7) enable the hydro -pneumatic press cylinder (1) after pressing the start pushbutton switch (9) of the dual action logo stamping machine (100). The pneumatic press is applied for 3.3 seconds, and the hydraulic press is applied for 5 seconds by the dual action logo stamping machine (100). The solenoid coils (7) act in forward direction and as per the timer and relay (8) control, and there may be delay while returning to home position.

At step (504), insert washers over the stamped logo letter on the leather substrate. At step (505), the start pushbutton switch (9) of the dual action logo stamping machine (100) is pressed to secure the logo letter on the leather substrate.

At step (506), quality check to find any mismatch in the stamped logo of the dual action logo stamping machine (100).

The present invention is clearly advantageous in providing a technical solution to the problems of the prior art. The present invention is advantageous in reducing the cycle (also known as lead time) from 193 seconds to 145 seconds. Further, it is also advantageous in providing vibration free motion and fast action motion. Further, it is also advantageous in providing exact positioning of die set on the leather substrate, and shorter switching times. Further, it is also advantageous in consuming power only at actual operation and thereby reducing the power consumption of the dual action logo stamping machine (100).
