Abstract:
Provided are: a dust collection device (1) that can inhibit the stirring-up of dust from a first dust collecting part (5); and a vacuum cleaner comprising this device. The dust collection device (1) comprises a cylindrical case (10) and an insertion part (16). The case (10) has an introduction port (3) into which dust-containing air is introduced. The insertion part (16) is positioned inside of the case (10), and a swirling flow (A) of the dust-containing air is formed between the insertion part and an inner surface (14) of the case (10). The insertion part (16) has a cylindrical side surface section (26) and a protruding section (30). The side surface section (26) faces the inner surface (14) of the case (10) with a space therebetween. The protruding section (30) includes, on the first dust collecting part(5) side, a protruding surface (32) that protrudes to the outside relative to the side surface section (26). The protruding surface (32) includes a plurality of flow rectifying parts (35), and a connecting part (36). The flow rectifying parts (35) are formed in a spiral shape that goes from the upstream side of the swirling flow (A) to the downstream side towards the first dust collecting part (5) side. The connecting part (36) is formed by connecting the downstream end side of one rectifying part (35) to the upstream end side of another rectifying part (35).
