Abstract:
The present invention relates to an ear thermometer and a method for measuring a body temperature using same. A body temperature measurement method using an ear thermometer inserted into the ear canal to measure a body temperature, according to one embodiment of the present invention, comprises: a step in which a first light source inserted into the ear canal emits light; a first measurement step in which a sensing unit inserted into the ear canal measures a first intensity, which is the intensity of reflected light; a step in which a second light source inserted into the ear canal and disposed at a location different from that of the first light source emits light; a second measurement step in which the sensing unit measures a second intensity, which is the intensity of reflected light; a step in which a third light source inserted into the ear canal and disposed at a location different from those of the first light source and the second light source emits light; a third measurement step in which the sensing unit measures a third intensity, which is the intensity of reflected light; and a step of calculating standard deviations of the first intensity, the second intensity, and the third intensity.
