Title:
EARLY WARNING SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DETECTING LIVESTOCK DISEASES AND DETECTING POSSIBILITY OF PREGNANCY IN LIVESTOCK
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2014/148846
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Provided is an early warning system for detecting livestock diseases and detecting the possibility of pregnancy in livestock. The early warning system comprises: a radio frequency identification reader which communicates with a radio frequency identification tag attached to livestock and defines an activity measurement area for measuring the amount of movement of livestock within a pen; and a server which communicates with the radio frequency identification reader, receives, from the radio frequency identification tag attached to the livestock, information on the livestock and the frequency that the livestock enter the activity measurement area, and transmits the changed information on the livestock to the radio frequency identification tag. The server computes the frequency that the livestock enters the activity measurement area such that an operator is notified by a livestock disease detection alarm if the livestock enter below a certain number of times for a specific period of time, and a possibly pregnant livestock detection alarm if the livestock enter over a certain number of times for a specific period of time.
