Abstract:
Provided is an eccentric butterfly valve that maintains excellent sealing when the valve is closed regardless of whether pressure from a high-pressure fluid is in a forward flow direction or a backward flow direction, that maintains sealing performance of a seat ring even when high pressure is applied, particularly by backward flow, and that has excellent operability whereby seal surface pressure between the seat ring and a disc can be ensured and leaking can be prevented. A disc (23) axially supported by a stem (22) at an eccentric position in a body (21) is provided so as to be hermitically sealable to a seat ring (24) fixed by a seat retainer (25). A flexible part (41) is formed on an inner diameter side of the seat ring (24), and a spring member (26) is mounted between the flexible part (41) and the seat retainer (25). The load of the spring member (26) increases substantially proportionally to the magnitude of an incline of the flexible part (41) when the disc (23) is displaced to the seat retainer (25) side. At a time of elastic deformation of the flexible part (41), the flexible part elastically deforms in a state in which contact of the spring member (26) with the seat retainer (25) is avoided.
