Abstract:
Disclosed in the present invention are ecgonone transmethylases EnEMT1 and EnEMT2 from Erythroxylaceae, and genes thereof and the use thereof. EnEMT1 has an amino acid sequence as shown in SEQ ID NO. 4 and a nucleotide sequence as shown in SEQ ID NO. 3. EnEMT2 has an amino acid sequence as shown in SEQ ID NO. 8, and a nucleotide sequence as shown in SEQ ID NO. 7. The protein expressed in Escherichia coli can catalyze the production of methylecgonone from ecgonone. The discovery of ecgonone transmethylases provides more basic elements for the synthetic biology of natural products, and provides guidance and basis for the rational design of this type of enzyme, and the ecgonone transmethylases have good industrial prospects.
