Abstract:
This edge-grasping device is provided with: a two-positions holding device 7 which includes a pair of holding chucks 71, 72 for holding two separated locations on or in the vicinity of the ridge of a fold of a rectangular fabric Y, in a state in which a rectangular triangle portion S is present; an edge-drawing conveyor 8 which is disposed under the two-positions holding device 7 and transfers the fabric Y that has been released from the two-positions holding device 7; a grasping chuck 92, 93 which is disposed downstream in a transfer direction of the edge-drawing conveyor 8; and a position change means which causes at least one of the two-positions holding device, the edge-drawing conveyor 8, and the grasping chuck 92, 93 to be moved in a lateral direction so that the rectangular triangle portion S of the fabric Y being held by the two-positions holding device 7 is positioned in an appropriate grasping position corresponding to the position of the grasping chuck 92, 93.
