Abstract:
The present invention has a mixing unit (18e) that mixes intake refrigerant intaken from a refrigerant intake opening (18d) and injection refrigerant injected from a refrigerant injection opening (18c) and that is formed in the range from the refrigerant injection opening (18c) of a nozzle (18a) and the entrance (18h) of a diffuser (18g) in the interior space of the body (18b) of an ejector (18). Furthermore, the distance (La) from the refrigerant injection opening (18c) to the entrance (18h) in the mixer (18e) is determined in a manner so that the flow speed of the refrigerant flowing into the entrance (18h) of the diffuser (18g) becomes no greater than a two-phase speed (αh) of sound. As a result, a shockwave generated when the mixed refrigerant transitions from supersonic speeds to sub-sonic speeds is generated within the mixing unit (18e), and the pressure-boosting performance of the diffuser (18g) is stabilized.
