Abstract:
[Problem] The present invention addresses the problem of providing an elastic member for towel stitching with which it is possible, merely by stitching to a towel, to easily produce a towel that exhibits a feeling of mass and a feeling of volume while having a compact external shape. [Solution] An elastic member for towel stitching, characterized in that the elastic member for towel stitching, which is configured from a winged rubber-cord-accommodating casing composed of a bag-shaped body formed in a bag shape and a wing-like body extending from the bag-shaped body, and a rubber cord accommodated in the bag-shaped body in a state in which one end is fixed, is stitched to towel cloth at the other end of the rubber cord and the wing-like body of the elastic member, thereby making it possible to flare the edges of the long-side parts of the towel cloth while shrinking the towel cloth in a bellows shape.
