Abstract:
The present invention provides an elastic wave device which is capable of suppressing a high-order mode in a wide band that is not less than 1.5 times the resonant frequency. An elastic wave device 1 according to the present invention is provided with: a crystal substrate 3; an aluminum oxide layer 4 that is provided on the crystal substrate 3; a lithium tantalate layer 6 (a piezoelectric layer) that is provided on the aluminum oxide layer 4; and an IDT electrode 7 that is provided on the lithium tantalate layer 6, while comprising a plurality of first and second electrode fingers 18, 19.
