Abstract:
This electric circuit breaking device is provided with an igniter provided in a housing, an emitted body which is disposed in an accommodating space formed in the housing, and which is emitted along the accommodating space by means of energy accepted from the igniter, a conducting piece which is provided in the housing and forms a portion of an electric circuit, and which includes, in a portion thereof, a cut-off portion that is arranged in such a way as to traverse the accommodating space and that is cut off by the emitted body, and an arc-extinguishing region which is positioned in the accommodating space and in which a coolant material is arranged, for accepting the cut-off portion that has been cut off, wherein the emitted body includes a first emitted body that cuts off the cut-off portion from the conducting piece by being emitted by means of the energy accepted from the igniter, and a second emitted body that pushes the cut-off portion, cut off by the first emitted body, into the arc-extinguishing region.
