Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to suppress the corrosion or electrolytic corrosion of bearings for an electric compressor when using trifluoroiodomethane (CF3I) as a refrigerant. This electric compressor 3 is provided with: a compression mechanism part 33 for compressing a refrigerant; an electric motor 24 that drives the compression mechanism part 33 via a crankshaft 23; and a main bearing 31 and a sub-bearing 32 that pivotally support the crankshaft 23. Trifluoroiodomethane (CF3I) by itself, or a refrigerant mixture of trifluoroiodomethane (CF3I) and another refrigerant is used as the refrigerant. The main bearing 31 and the sub-bearing 32 are respectively provided with: outer rings 41, 61 constituting an outer peripheral part; inner rings 42, 62 constituting an inner peripheral part; a plurality of rolling bodies 43, 63 disposed between the outer rings 41, 61 and the inner rings 42, 62; and retainers 44, 64 that maintain the mutually adjacent rolling bodies 43, 63 at a constant interval, wherein at least a portion or the entirety of the components are formed of non-metallic materials.
