Abstract:
Provided is an electric connector manufacturing method in which, in an electric connector having contact portions on both one surface of a plate-like fitting portion fitting into a receptacle connector and the other surface on the opposite side of this one surface, a plurality of first terminals forming the contact portion of the one surface of the fitting portion and a plurality of second terminals forming the contact portion of the other surface of the fitting portion can be accurately positioned through a shielding plate. The electric connector manufacturing method is provided with: a step of forming a primary molding portion in which a plurality of first contact portions are integrally provided by an insert molding; a step of forming a secondary molding portion in which a plurality of second contact portions are integrally provided by an insert molding; and a step of forming a third molding portion in which the primary molding portion and the secondary molding portion are integrally provided by an insert molding, thereby generating a housing.
