Abstract:
A hair care appliance having a handle (20) with decorative items (50) disposed therein. In one embodiment, the hair care appliance is a hair dryer. The hair dryer has an air blower output tube connected to a hood and the handle connected to the hood. The handle has a translucent portion (26) that allows the user to see and appreciate the decorative items contained therein. In an alternative embodiment, the translucent portion has an upper end and lower end and dividing boards disposed therein that provide lateral support to the decorative items. The translucent portion and the dividing boards define a cavity in the translucent portion for the decorative items. A second inner sleeve may be disposed through the translucent compartment for allowing a power cord access therethrough without being seen through the translucent compartment.
