Abstract:
An electric drive device (1) for a vehicle comprises: an axle case (10) coupled to a vehicle body frame (1001) through a suspension device (1002); a motor (11); a transmission gear mechanism (13); and a differential gear mechanism. The axle case (10) houses the differential mechanism and a pair of drive shafts (15L, 15R), and supports the motor (11) and the transmission gear mechanism (13). A motor shaft and an input shaft and an output shaft of the transmission gear mechanism (13) are disposed to extend in a first direction (D1) along a front-rear direction X, in a view along the vertical direction. The motor (11) and the transmission gear mechanism (13) are disposed between a pair of side rails (1003L, 1003R), in a view along the vertical direction.
