Abstract:
Provided is an electric lock that, while being compact in size, is capable of unlocking with a minute amount of electric power even when there is a large load in the unlocking direction, and does not become hot when used with continuous electrification. The present invention is an electric lock comprising: a hook (2) that becomes rotatable about a shaft (5) as a seat (3) attached to the door side is pushed in, and that engages with the seat (3) in a locked state; a torsion coil spring (4) that engages with the hook (2) so that the hook (2) moves in a direction of pushing the seat (3) outward; a lever (6) that rotates about a shaft (7) in accordance with the rotation of the hook (2); a plunger (10) that retreats in accordance with the rotation of the lever (6); a compression coil spring (12) that acts so as to advance the plunger (10); and a self-holding-type solenoid (13) that has the plunger (10) that can advance and retreat with respect to a solenoid body, and in which a permanent magnet (14) is housed.
