Abstract:
The invention relates to an electric machine (1) which has a stator (2) and a rotor (3) and is divided into sub-machine systems (4, 5, 6) by enabling winding sections (41, 42, 43, 51, 52, 53, 61, 62, 63) of the stator (2) or rotor (3) to be connected separately for each phase. A winding section of each phase is assigned to each sub-machine system (4, 5, 6). Each sub-machine system (4, 5, 6) acts as an electric machine. The sub-machine systems (4, 5, 6) can be operated individually or in combination, depending on the requirement on the electric machine (1); connections are made accordingly between the winding sections (41, 42, 43, 51, 52, 53, 61, 62, 63) to this end. The connection between the winding sections (41, 42, 43, 51, 52, 53, 61, 62, 63) is advantageously made mechanically with a contact disc (8).
