A host control unit (8) has a simulation model (8c) for simulating the signal transmission characteristics of an electric motor control device. The host control unit (8) processes a real position command signal $g(u)¿ref? given from a host device, according to the simulation model, to compute the rotational speed and rotational position of an electric motor corresponding to the real position command signal $g(u)¿ref?, outputs the rotational speed and the rotational position respectively as a first simulation rotational speed signal $g(v)¿F? and a first simulation rotational position signal $g(u)¿F? every second control sample period t¿2?, creates a linear combination of $g(u)¿ref? - $g(u)¿F? and $g(v)¿F? by using a constant determined by a parameter characterizing the simulation model as a coefficient and outputs the linear combination as a feed forward torque signal T¿FF? every second control sample period t¿2?. Thus, no error between the real rotational position signal and the simulation rotational position signal occurs even if the control sample period of the feed forward operation and the control sample period of the feedback operation are different.
