Abstract:

An electric motor drive system comprises: a first interlock mechanism (160) constructed in such a way that a switch device (190) is opened by operation in response to an interrupter device (SP) assuming an operable state; a second interlock mechanism (210) constructed in such a way that the switch device (190) is opened by operation in response to a casing that accommodates a power control unit (200) assuming an open state; and a control device (350). The control device (350) is constructed in such a way that, when the first interlock mechanism (160) is operated, first processing is executed to open the switch device (190) after the power control unit (200) is interrupted, and when the second interlock mechanism (210) is operated, second processing instead of the first processing is executed to open the switch device (190) in a state in which the power control unit (200) is driven, in response to counter electromotive voltage generated by an electric motor (MG1).
