Abstract:
This electric motor comprises: a rotor having a rotating shaft extending in an axial direction; a commutator attached to the rotating shaft; a brush having a front end surface in contact with the commutator and a rear end surface located on the opposite side of the front end surface; a constant load spring that has a first spiral portion and a second spiral portion each made of a strip-shaped wire wound in a spiral shape, and has a fixed end on the front end surface side; and a pressing member that is in contact with the rear end surface of the brush and presses the brush against the commutator with a load from the constant load spring.
