Provided is an electric power steering device which has a simple structure and can optimally maintain an axial distance between a worm gear and a wheel gear while the generation of noise is suppressed. The electric power steering device comprises a shaft coupling (61) which links a worm gear (26) to an output shaft (48) in such a way that the worm gear (26) can be obliquely driven with respect to the output shaft (48). The shaft coupling (61) comprises: a fixing part (71) which is linked to the output shaft (48); and a cylinder (72) which is fixed to the fixing part (71) and has an inner circumferential surface (75) having a square-shaped cross section. A linking part (81) is formed in a base end part (62) of the worm gear (26), and the linking part (81) has an outer circumferential surface (82) having a non-circular cross section so that the linking part (81) can be inserted in the cylinder (72) and engaged with the inner circumferential surface (75). The outer circumferential surface (82) is formed to be convex such that a gap (84) is provided in the cylinder (72) to allow oblique movement of the linking part (81). The cylinder (72) pushes an inner ring (51a) of a first roll bearing (51) toward an axial tip end of the worm gear (26).
