Abstract:
[Problem] To provide an electric power steering device that is capable of using steering torque that takes vehicle characteristics into account and correction based on vehicle speed in order to achieve smooth steering wheel return control even when a driver intervenes by steering while in a linear travel state. [Solution] An electric power steering device in which a steering wheel return control unit (100) that drives a motor by a compensation current command value (Irefn) is configured from: a target return torque calculation unit (120) that calculates a target return torque (Tt) on the basis of a steering angle (θ) and a vehicle speed (V); a correction unit (101) that corrects the target return torque (Tt) using steering torque (Td) and assist torque (Ta); a steering system characteristic unit (122) that, on the basis of correction torque and a viscosity coefficient (C), performs multiplication of transfer characteristics that correspond to virtual steering system characteristics; a steering wheel return control gain calculation unit (132) that determines a steering wheel return control gain (SG2) by multiplying the deviation (SG1) between a target steering angle speed (ω0) from the steering system characteristic unit (122) and the actual steering angle speed (ω1) by a vehicle speed gain (KP) and a steering torque gain (Th); and a steering wheel return control current calculation unit that performs control calculation with respect to the steering wheel return control gain (SG2), limits output using the vehicle speed gain (KP) and the steering torque gain (Td), and determines a steering wheel return control current (HR).
