Abstract:
[Problem] To provide an electric power steering device that achieves both assist control and steering angle control, wherein manual steering is achieved even when steering is interrupted by a driver during automatic steering and safety is further ensured at the time of emergency steering by the driver. [Solution] This electric power steering device comprises: a steering angle control unit that calculates a steering angle control current command value for steering angle control on the basis of at least a steering angle command value and an actual steering angle; and a switching determination/gradual-variation gain generation unit that determines a steering state on the basis of a determination of manual input and that switches the steering state. The switching determination/gradual-variation gain generation unit includes a manual input determination unit performing the determination of manual input by employing a threshold with respect to a steering torque, and calculates a current command value by employing at least said steering angle control current command value.
