Abstract:
Provided is an electric power steering device comprising: a rack bar which includes first rack teeth and second rack teeth and moves in the length direction to transmit a steering force to steered wheels; a first pinion shaft which includes first pinion teeth meshing with the first rack teeth and is coupled to a steering shaft connected to a steering wheel; and a second pinion shaft which includes second pinion teeth meshing with the second rack teeth and is rotated by an electric motor, wherein when the steering shaft is at a center position of a rotatable range, one of the first pinion teeth and the second pinon teeth mesh with, in vicinities of the tooth tips, the corresponding rack teeth out of the first rack teeth and the second rack teeth and the other one of the first pinion teeth and the second pinion teeth mesh with, in vicinities of the tooth roots, the corresponding rack teeth out of the first rack teeth and the second rack teeth.
