Abstract:

Disclosed is an electric range having heat power adjustable on the basis of the properties of an object to be heated. The electric range adjusts the heat power by using the properties of an object to be heated when a user performs a gesture of moving the object to be heated in a specific direction. At this time, a unit reduction value of the heat power that is sequentially decreased is set on the basis of information related to the object to be heated. Here, the information related to the object to be heated includes at least one of the weight of the object to be heated, the size of the bottom surface of the object to be heated, and properties of the contents contained in the object to be heated.
