Abstract:
Provided is an electric resistance welded steel pipe having high strength as well as excellent processability and toughness, which is suitable for steel pipes for mechanical structures used in parts of automotive vehicles, construction machines, industrial machinery and the like. The electric resistance welded steel pipe has a predetermined component composition, and has a thick central steel structure of the base material part that is composed of 90% or more volume fraction of martensite, the remainder being one or more of ferrite, bainite, perlite and austenite, that has an average crystal particle diameter of 10 μm or less, wherein the volume fraction of prior austenite having a particle diameter of 50 μm or more is 40% or less.
