The electric rice cooker and heat cooking system are configured to prevent the electric rice cooker from overheating during induction-heating with a rice-cooking unit installed thereon, and to improve the usability. The electric rice cooker and heat cooking system are provided with: an induction-heating cooker having a heating coil and a first input operation unit; and a rice-cooking unit having an inner pot heated by the heating coil of the heat induction-heating cooker and wherein rice is placed, and a second input operation unit for setting rice-cooking conditions. When the rice-cooking unit is installed on a top plate of the induction-heating cooker, the rice-cooking unit completely covers the upper part of the first input operation unit. A space communicating with the outside is formed between the top surface of the first input operation unit and the bottom surface of the rice-cooking unit. An infrared signal for linking control actions for the induction-heating cooker and rice-cooking unit is transmitted through a window at a part where the induction-heating cooker and rice-cooking unit face each other. When the rice-cooking unit is not installed, the induction-heating conditions of the induction-heating cooker can be set by the first input operation unit, and the induction-heating cooker operates as an independent induction-heating cooker.
