Abstract:
The present invention relates to an electric running board for an automobile, comprising a driving bracket, a driven bracket, and a running board. The driving bracket comprises an automobile connecting rod I, a driving motor, an automobile connecting rod II, a gear box, and a rotating mechanism, wherein the automobile connecting rod I, the driving motor, and the automobile connecting rod II are respectively fixed to an automobile to which the electric running board is to be mounted. The driven bracket comprises a driven automobile fixing plate and a driven rotating mechanism. The electric running board for an automobile can be switched into a fixed side board; in this case, the driving motor needs to be turned off, or in this case, the driving motor or the gearbox fails; when a rotating rod and a driven rotating rod rotate to cause the running board to be in an extended state or a retracted state, a standby bolt reserved for the rotating rod on the driving bracket is screwed off and aligned with a hole of a fixing rod, and then the bolt is penetrated through the hole to fix the rotating rod and the fixing rod; meanwhile, a standby bolt reserved for the driven rotating rod is screwed off and aligned with a hole of a driven connecting member, and then the bolt is penetrated through the hole to fix the rotating rod and the driven connecting member. Therefore, the electric running board for an automobile of the present invention has the advantages of being improved in bearing weight and being capable of freely switching into a fixed side board.
